Abstract Nonprofits engaged in public service provision can receive funding from both donors and governments. Much of the nonprofit performance theory suggests that are unlikely to base donation decisions on production. However, governments may prioritize decisions. We combine study internal production reports for years 2010–2016 535 Habitat Humanity Affiliates with financial data IRS Form 990 housing price FHA. then use a dynamic panel design compare effects donor government funding. Production does not increase donations, but 1% increases grant revenue by 0.28%.
